Gloria'S Fried Pie Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 egg
    1/2 can evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening.
    Add liquid ingredients and refrigerate.
    This can be stored several days and used as needed.
    For fried pies, I roll out a thin saucer-sized circle of dough.
    Fill with desired fruit and fold in half.
    Press edges with fork and fry in skillet with a little bit of shortening.
    This dough is very easy to work with and tastes great.
