Orange-Date-Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind (can substitute 1 tsp. orange extract)
1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
Preparation

Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
While hot, punch many holes with ice pick.
Pour glaze over cake.
Let stand several hours before serving.
