Beef Jerky - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. seasoned salt
    1/2 c. black pepper
    5 lb. beef, cut in thin strips
    4 oz. liquid smoke
Preparation
    Combine sugar, seasoned salt and pepper; place mixture in a shaker.
    In a shallow pan, arrange layer of meat strips.
    Sprinkle with seasonings and cover with liquid smoke; repeat layers to use all ingredients.
    Marinate meat for 8 hours.
    Place aluminum foil on oven racks.
    Arrange meat strips on foil in single layer.
    Set oven temperature at lowest possible setting, leave oven door ajar and bake for 4 to 8 hours or until done to taste.
