Cousin Agnes' Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    4 slices bread, diced
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar on bottom of double boiler insert.
    Add bread.
    Mix eggs, milk and vanilla.
    Pour over bread.
    Place insert over hot water.
    Cook until set 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove insert and let cool.
    When cool, place plate over top of pan and invert pudding. Serve warm or cold.
