Grandmother Fowler'S Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Place warm water in a mixing bowl. Stir in yeast until dissolved. Add shortening, salt, sugar, egg and 1/2 of flour. Mix well with electric mixer. Mix in remainder of flour well with a spoon or dough hooks.
Turn out into a well greased large mixing bowl. Grease top of dough (I spray it with Pam). Cover and let rise in a warm place until double.
