Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. brown or white sugar (optional)
    1 1/2 c. cracker or dry bread crumbs
    5 c. tomatoes, skinned and quartered
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 eggs, beaten light
    2 c. creamed corn
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. bread or cracker crumbs
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cream
Preparation
    Stir all ingredients into well-beaten eggs.
    Pour into greased oven dish.
    Place dish in pan with some water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until custard is set.
    Serve hot.
