Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. yellow squash
    1 stick butter
    1 small finely chopped onion
    1 garlic button
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. milk
    2 whole eggs, beaten
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    20 Club or Ritz crackers
Preparation
    Wash and slice squash; cook in salted water until tender.
    (Do not overcook.)
    Saute onion and garlic in butter and add to drained squash.
    Add 2/3 cup butter, sugar, salt and pepper to squash mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add milk, 2 eggs and cracker crumbs. Mix gently.
    Pour into buttered casserole dish.
    Dot top with remaining 1/3 cup butter and crushed crackers.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until browned.
