Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. steak, cut in 3-inch strips
    1 clove garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. green pepper chunks
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 can tomatoes
    1/4 c. oil
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. onions, chopped
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    juice from can tomatoes
Preparation
    Brown beef in hot oil; add garlic and cook for 5 minutes.
    Add soy sauce, salt and water.
    Cook for 45 minutes.
    Add vegetables; cook 10 to 15 minutes longer.
    Stir cornstarch and tomato juice together; add to mixture.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
    Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes more.
    Serve over hot fluffy rice.
    Serves 4.
