Microwave Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together
    sugar,
    corn syrup, water and salt in a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
    Cook in microwave on Full power 20 to 22 minutes or\tuntil
    hard
    ball
    stage is reached.
    Stir once or twice during
    cooking.
    While
    syrup
    cooks,
    beat egg whites until stiff peaks form in a large mixing bowl.
    Gradually pour hot syrup over
    egg\twhites until beating at high speed until mixture
    is thickened
    and
    candy
    starts
    to lose its gloss. Beating
    may require about 12 minutes.
    Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by
    teaspoon on
    waxed\tpaper.\tCandy
    may be tinted for special occasions.
