Zesta Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

40 soda crackers
1/2 c. butter
4 egg whites
1/2 pt. whipping cream
2 tsp. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1 can pie filling (cherry, raspberry, blueberry)
Preparation

Combine crackers with butter and press on bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking pan, reserving 1/4 cup for topping.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Spread egg white mixture over cracker crumbs.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool.
Spread pie filling over top. Beat whipping cream until stiff.
Add powdered sugar.
Spread pie filling and refrigerate.
Cut into squares to serve.
