Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    3 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    6 eggs
    milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. Grape-Nuts
    1 can Eagle Brand (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together the sugar, cornstarch, salt, eggs and enough milk to make a smooth paste; add to scalded milk.
    When it comes to a boil, boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add remaining milk, vanilla and Grape-Nuts.
    Can add Eagle Brand.
    Yields 8 quarts.
    Okay to use for 6 quarts, just don't add Eagle Brand.
