Surprise Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. oil
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation
    Sift flour.
    Beat eggs in 2 cup measuring cup with wire whisk. Whisk
    in\tmilk and oil. Stir just until moistened. Do not beat. Fill
    greased
    and floured muffin pan 2/3 full. For Surprise Muffins, fill 1/2 full, then drop 1 teaspoon of jelly or preserves in center. Add more batter to make 2/3 full. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
