Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. yellow squash (real small)
    4 onions
    1 red sweet pepper
    1 green sweet pepper
    1/2 c. salt
    3 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    pickling spices to suit taste
Preparation
    Put vegetables and salt into ice water; let stand for 3 hours. Drain.
    Bring to
    boil vinegar, sugar and spices.\tAdd squash, onions and peppers; boil
    for
    3
    minutes and put into jars and seal.
