Slim Jim Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef or turkey
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    4 c. undrained canned tomatoes
    1/2 to 1 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 3/4 c. (15 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in Dutch oven; drain.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer, covered, 1 to 2 hours.
    Remove bay leaf. Serve hot.
    Freezes well.
    Can use crock-pot.
    Makes 8 (1 cup) servings with 156 calories each.
