Cottage Cheese Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg yolks, beaten
3 Tbsp. butter
1 c. cottage cheese
3 egg whites
melted butter
Preparation

Scald milk in saucepan.
Add cornmeal and cook, stirring constantly until thick.
Mix in sugar and salt.
Mix small amount of hot cornmeal mixture with egg yolks; return to saucepan and mix thoroughly.
Stir in butter and cottage cheese.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Gradually fold in cornmeal mixture.
Pour into baking dish and bake 35 minutes.
Serve with melted butter.
