Grape-Nuts Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Grape-Nuts cereal
    2 1/2 c. warm milk
    2 large eggs or 3 small
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    grated nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Soak cereal in warm milk for 10 minutes.
    Beat eggs with fork; add sugar to taste.
    Add salt, vanilla and cereal/milk mixture. Spoon into a buttered 5 cup casserole dish.
    If desired, sprinkle top with nutmeg.
    Set casserole into a pan partly filled with water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
    Stir at least twice during the first 20 minutes of baking.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
    Serve warm or chilled.
    Store leftover pudding in refrigerator.
