Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Blend shortening and sugar, then add eggs and molasses.
    Mix flour, salt, soda and spices. Add to creamed mixture.
    Add raisins and chill 25 to 30 minutes. Roll into balls and dip top into sugar.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Place 1 drop of water on top of sugar on each cookie. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
