Beef Stir-Fry With Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef top round steak
    1/3 c. cold water
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. dry red wine
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. molasses or honey
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced (3 c.)
    5 green onions, bias-sliced into 1-inch lengths (1 c.)
    hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Partially freeze beef; cut on the bias into thin bite-size strips.
    For marinade, in a medium mixing bowl, stir together water, soy sauce, wine, cornstarch and molasses.
    Add beef, stirring to coat well.
    Cover and marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes or in the refrigerator for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Drain well, reserving marinade.
    Set aside.
