Meringue Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
    Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time. After all sugar is added gradually add salt and vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks form and all the sugar is dissolved about 5 to 8 minutes. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheet. Once cooled, remove and store in airtight container. Yield: 4 dozen.
