Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
2 qt. (8 c.) whipping cream
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine sugar, lemon juice and peel in large freezer container.
Slowly stir in cream and salt, blending well.
Cover and freeze until firm outside but still soft in center.
Stir several times.
Freeze until firm.
