Aunt Dora'S Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean beef cubes
    4 to 5 potatoes, quartered
    4 medium onions, quartered or 6 to 7 small white onions
    1 bunch fresh carrots, cut up in pieces
    1 pkg. frozen peas, separated
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato juice
    4 to 5 tsp. minute tapioca
    dash of lemon juice
    dash of Worcestershire sauce
    2 to 3 bay leaves
    3 to 4 whole cloves
    fresh ground pepper
    dash of salt (optional)
Preparation
    Stagger all of the ingredients into a large, covered, casserole.
    Cover and bake in a slow oven at 225\u00b0 to 250\u00b0 for about 6 to 7 hours (test meat and vegetables for doneness).
    Stir once after cooking 3 to 4 hours.
    Makes 6 servings.
