Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
milk or egg for shine (if desired)
Preparation

Scone dough must be handled minimally and quickly.
As soon as the soda makes contact with liquid the rising action has begun. The object is to get the scones into the oven quickly while the dough is still wobbling so the rising is not wasted.
