Jackie'S Gorditas(Jackie Clotfelter) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. masa
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/3 c. warm water
    taco fixings
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
    Combine masa, flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add water slowly and knead to a stiff dough.
    Cover dough and let sit for 15 minutes.
    Divide dough into 6 portions and roll into balls.
    Roll balls out to 1/4-inch thick.
    Deep fry until puffed and browned. (They will be hollow.)
    Cut off the end and stuff as you would a taco.
