Favorite Fishermans Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. fresh or frozen halibut fillets
12 medium onions (whole)
4 to 5 medium potatoes, chopped
1/4 c. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. butter
4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 c. boiling water
1 qt. milk, scalded
1 c. light cream
1 ripe tomato (optional)
Preparation

Cut fillets into 2 to 3 pieces.
In heavy skillet, saute onions in 1/4 cup butter until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Add potatoes, salt, pepper and boiling water.
Arrange fish fillets on top.
Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Add scalded milk, light cream and 3 tablespoons butter.
Heat until very hot.
Slice tomato and float on top of chowder.
