Pie Dough - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
6 to 7 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation

Mix the flour and salt.
Cut in the shortening with knives. Combine lightly only until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water over the mixture.
Mix lightly with a fork, using only enough water so that the pastry will hold together when pressed gently into a ball.
Makes enough for a 9-inch 2-crust pie.
