Apple Walnut Ring Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. mace
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped peeled apples
1 c. chopped walnuts
3 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix and sift flour, soda, salt and spices.
Add gradually to butter, sugar and egg mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in vanilla, apples and walnuts.
Batter will be stiff. Spoon into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to rack to cool.
Dribble confectioners sugar icing on top and sides, if desired.
