German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter or 2 Tbsp. bacon fryings and 1 Tbsp. lard
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. finely sliced onion
    1 to 2 c. finely chopped cabbage
    6 to 8 boiled potatoes, chopped
Preparation
    Peel and boil the chopped potatoes.
    Heat in skillet the first 4 ingredients until very hot.
    In bowl, put the chopped cabbage and the chopped potatoes.
    Pour the ingredients over it; mix well. Return to stove until all is hot.
    Serve at once.
