Whole Wheat Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 c. whole-wheat flour
3 c. white flour
Preparation

In a 2-cup container, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Let stand 1 hour. Cream shortening and 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water to shortening mixture; add egg and salt. Add part of the flour and mix well, then add the yeast mixture. Add remaining flour and mix well. May have to add extra flour if dough is sticky.
