Mexican Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. fryer, cut up
1/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. thinly sliced onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, drained (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
Preparation

Wash chicken well.
Coat with flour.
Cook in oil until brown.
Remove.
Put in remaining ingredients and mix.
Return chicken to pan.
Cover.
Cook 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.
