Annie'S German Lentil Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. lentils
4 strips bacon
1/2 onion, chopped
1/8 tsp. pepper
dash of nutmeg
1 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 potato
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 to 4 Tbsp. tomato sauce or 2 whole tomatoes
3 c. water
Preparation

Wash lentils in cold water.
Drain.
Now add lentils to cold water.
Saute bacon and onions until golden brown.
Stir in tomato sauce or tomatoes, add bacon and onions, potatoes and rest of ingredients, adding more water as needed during cooking.
Simmer 30 to 45 minutes; add parsley.
