Cocoa Delight Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
3 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
Add Crisco and first amount of milk called for.
Beat with mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add eggs, rest of milk and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes. Spread batter in 2 well greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2-inch round layer cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes until center springs back when touched lightly.
Cook 10 to 20 minutes, then remove from pans.
