Bread Pudding With Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

3 c. packed dry bread cubes
3 c. scalded milk
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Butter square Corning baking dish. Put bread in dish.
Mix scalding milk, butter, salt and sugar.
Add eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, stir over bread.
Set baking dish in some water in Pyrex pie plate.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
