Rock Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. desired flavoring or cinnamon oil
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat until mixture is dissolved.
    Cook over high heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat and add desired flavoring or cinnamon oil.
    Add food coloring if desired.
    Pour into cookie sheet; allow to cool completely.
    Crack candy and roll into powdered sugar.
    Store in airtight container.
