Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried small white beans
    1 ham bone
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    salt
    2 1/2 qt. water
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook all except vinegar and salt.
    Simmer 4 to 5 hours.
    Add vinegar and salt when beans are tender (last).
