Old-Fashioned Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large eggs or 6 yolks
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg, if desired
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat lightly; pour into 9-inch unbaked crust.
    Bake for about 40 minutes or until knife inserted into side of filling comes out clean.
    Center is soft, but will set later.
    Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 to finish.
