Chicken Noodle Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. chicken, cut up (stewing chicken)
3 qt. water
2 cans (14 oz.) chicken broth
5 celery ribs, chopped and divided
4 carrots, chopped and divided
2 medium onions, chopped and divided
2/3 c. coarsely chopped green pepper, divided
1 1/4 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. salt
8 oz. medium noodles
Preparation

Combine chicken, water, broth, half of the celery, carrots, onions, green pepper, pepper and bay leaf; bring to a boil. Simmer 2 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken. When cool enough to handle, remove meat from bones and cut up. Set chicken aside. Strain broth and skim fat. Return to kettle. Add salt and remaining ingredients. Simmer 10 to 12 minutes. Add noodles and chicken. Simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
