Ingredients

3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in medium saucepan. Stir in water and mix until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into container and refrigerate. Use to pour over ice cream or put 2 tablespoons of syrup in an 8-ounce glass of cold or hot milk.
