Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening (half butter and half margarine)
    2 eggs
    salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Mix dry ingredients; add to egg and sugar mixture.
    Roll in balls and press with a fork.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 until lightly browned.
