Butter-Nut Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces (1 c.)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Butter a 15 x 10-inch cookie sheet and set aside.
    In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter or margarine and water.
    Cook until mixture reaches soft crack stage or 270\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Stir in chopped walnuts.
    Pour onto prepared cookie sheet.
