Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. vegetable shortening
2 pkg. dry yeast
4 Tbsp. water warm
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add yeast and buttermilk to dry mixture.
Mix well.
Roll out desired amount on lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with 2-inch cutter.
Let rise 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
Watch carefully until you get the time right for your oven.
Dough will keep in refrigerator a week in covered container or plastic bag.
