Papa Nick'S Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. salt
cucumbers and/or tomatoes
1 gal. water
2 sprigs dill
2 big cloves garlic
Preparation

Bring water, vinegar and salt to boil; let stand 20 minutes. When cool, pour over cukes and green tomatoes, prepared according to preference.
Small tomatoes and cucumbers can be left whole, if desired, and larger vegetables can be cut into chunks.
Cucumbers may be sliced open lengthwise and cut into quarters or eighths. Put vegetables in quart jars; to each jar, add 2 sprigs dill and 2 large garlic cloves, depending on taste.
