Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 medium green pepper, sliced
    1 pkg. au jus gravy mix
    1 3/4 c. water
    4 tsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    3 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Cook meat, onion and pepper in oil until browned.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except rice.
    Simmer for 45 minutes or 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Serve over rice.
