Ingredients

6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. margarine
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
2 c. coconut
Preparation

Separate eggs; let egg whites warm to room temperature.
Beat yolks with shortening until well blended.
Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Add on low speed and beat in flour alternately with milk.
Add coconut and blend well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
Bake in greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
