Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dried pea beans
2 medium onions
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1/3 c. ketchup
1/4 lb. bacon, diced
1 Tbsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Simmer beans in 6 cups of water for 1 hour.
Allow to stand, covered, for 2 hours or until softened.
Drain.
Put all ingredients in a crock-pot.
Add 1 cup of water.
Stir to blend. Cover pot and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high 5 to 6 hours.
Stir occasionally.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
