Chocolate Raspberry Streusel Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 c. (2 sticks) margarine or butter, chilled
    1 c. raspberry preserves or jam (about 10 oz.)
    1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/4 c. chopped almonds
    1/2 c. (3 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces or 1 (4 oz.) bar white chocolate, chopped and melted
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine flour, oats, sugars, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly.
    Reserve 1 cup oat mixture for streusel; set aside.
    Press remaining oat mixture into bottom of ungreased 9-inch square baking pan.
    Bake 10 minutes.
    Spread preserves over crust; sprinkle evenly with chocolate pieces.
    Combine reserved oat mixture and almonds; sprinkle over chocolate pieces, patting gently.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool completely.
    Drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired.
    Let chocolate set before cutting bars.
    Store tightly covered. Makes 3 dozen.
