Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white cornmeal
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Pour into a greased baking pan or an iron skillet.
    Bake in a hot oven at 435\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
    Very good!
