Boiled Custard(Similar To Eggnog) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. milk
    12 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of soda
    pinch of salt
    1 large can Pet milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Heat milk
    slowly over low heat.
    Add eggs, sugar, soda and salt.
    Cook, stirring quite often.\tThen add can Pet milk. Cool. Place
    in
    refrigerator.
    Put
    in
    flavoring and nutmeg just before
    serving.
    This is sooo good around Christmastime (or anytime
    for
    that\tmatter),
    but
    we enjoy it during the holidays.
