Great Flavor'S Quick Crunch Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    4 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 (4 oz.) milk chocolate bars
    3/4 c. nuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    Put first 4 ingredients in a saucepan.
    Stir gently over low heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves.
    Continue to cook until mixture is rather brown or a little, tested in cold water, is very brittle.
    Pour into a buttered, oblong pan (we use an 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 7/8-inch pan).
    While this is still hot (after about 3 minutes), place chocolate bars on top of mixture.
    Then, sprinkle with nuts.
    When candy is cold, break into pieces.
