Beet And Pear Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets, drained
    1/2 c. thinly sliced red onion
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
    1/3 c. crumbled Blue cheese
Preparation
    Drain pears, reserving 1 tablespoon syrup.
    Cut pears in half lengthwise.
    Place pears, beets and onion in medium bowl.
    Whisk together oil, vinegar and reserved syrup.
    Pour over salad; toss gently.
    Just before serving, add cheese and toss.
    Serve on bed of lettuce leaves.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
