Russian Teacakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened butter
    1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.
    Measure flour by dip-level-pour method or by sifting with salt, then measure. Blend flour and salt with butter mixture.
    Mix in nuts.
    Chill at least 30 minutes.
    Make into 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 on middle shelf of oven, 8 to 12 minutes (check bottoms for browning).
    Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
    Cool.
    Roll again (roll a third time to make whiter).
    Yields about 4 dozen.
